From today’s Austin American Statesman, article titled
Why are fully vaccinated people getting COVID-19? What to know about breakthrough infections.
Paragraph 1:
Six fully vaccinated Texas House Democrats who traveled to Washington, D.C., have tested positive for COVID-19 — and they aren’t the only ones. A number of high profile individuals have made headlines in recent days for testing positive for the coronavirus despite being fully vaccinated, including Olympic athletes, New York Yankees and a White House official.
Bold lettering in the article later:
I’m fully vaccinated. Can I still get COVID-19?
The short answer is yes, but it’s highly unlikely.
Boner pills are suspect.
I’m still trying to find solid statistics on unvaccinated people that have been reinfected after fully recovering from it.
Well, it’s highly unlikely you’ll get this virus, regardless of your vaccination status, so I guess technically their answer is true.
