Woke Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Sales of the swimsuit issue have been declining for years.

The rag wouldn’t be going woke if their sales didn’t already suck.

It’s the magazine equivalent of stunt casting.

All print material, magazines, newspapers, books, are on the decline. I’m a avid reader and use Kindle, haven’t bought bought a printed book in years.

I prefer going to used book stores myself. Whenever I stop in briefly at a Chapters/Indigo (the Great White North’s answer to Barnes and Noble), the Obamas, Oprah, Bill Gates, and such others are plastered all over the place and that is absolutely vomit inducing.

I prefer a dead tree edition for books I want to own.

I use ebooks for anything I can’t hold close to my nose and/or that has teeny type. :-)

Print media is pretty much dead and owned by a few mega publishers who push the rot into them until they die. They can’t give them away in many cases.

I’ve seen photos of all three “models.” Strangely, the two biological women are ugly while the biological male done up as a woman is pretty. Done deliberately by the rag? Probably. All three are black too. I guess there are no beautiful white or Asian women anymore in the Left’s bizzaro world.

I was a dedicated SI reader for years, starting back in the days when it featured Dan Jenkins and Frank Deford (two writers I particularly remember). My older brother always renewed my subscription as a Christmas present. Somewhere along the way the politics in it became overwhelming - it seems during the obozo years his name was worked into just about every article. Further, every issue also found some way to work homosexuality / lesbianism and trans subjects into articles. So long SI!

I had a 1989 SI swimsuit calendar back in the day. It was awesome. Think I held onto it for several years thereafter, LOL.
