A California judge on Wednesday cleared the way for conservative talk radio host Larry Elder to join the field of candidates for an upcoming recall election aimed at removing Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom from office.
Elder scored a swift court victory in Sacramento, where he challenged a decision by state election officials to block him from the September recall ballot.
In a tweet, Elder wrote, “Victory! My next one will be on Sept. 14 at the ballot box.”
Superior Court Judge Laurie M. Earl disagreed with a state decision that Elder failed to meet requirements to qualify to run in the election.

You’d better vote for him. It’s going to be hard for the Dems to cheat on this one. Elder has name recognition and he’s not a politician. All we need is 51% of the people to vote to recall Newsome. If Elder gets half the republican vote after that, he’ll win in a landslide. He who gets the most votes win. With 50 or so candidates, you only need a loyal following to win it all. Theoretically you could win with 3% of the vote.

Does Elder actually have popular backing among Republicans? I think he is waaaay better than Republicans recently, but I don’t know if most Republican voters know about him.
I didn’t know you were considering Jenner, I wasn’t. I just don’t think Jenner’s a viable or a desirable candidate, although strictly speaking, Jenner is better than Newsom.
Last time, I voted for McClintock and did some campaigning.
I hate bumper stickers on my car. The ONLY time I ever had one was in the runup to that recall. I put a McClintock sticker on my car.

That’s incorrect as Gruesome must get 50% + 1. If he doesn’t whoever finishes next would be governor as I understand it.
That explains why they wanted Elder out. Not that he would be a top pick but that he would marshall votes that could stop Gruesome from making that 50% + 1.
He’s been a nationally syndicated radio show host for decades. If you aren’t familiar with him, then you either don’t own a radio, or you listen to NPR.
I’m hoping he doesn’t get the GOP endorsement. That will only serve to kill his campaign. He’s an independent, conservative with libertarian leanings. The Dems hate him. The MSM hates him. BLM hates him.
What better endorsement does he need?
The most important vote is to kick out the total imcompetent newsom. He totally mismanaged sf...and now the state. I know I could do better...but then again so could anyone else.
Elder has a ba from brown uni....and a jd from U of mich. Successful media person. Intelligent, book author, movie producer. He excels in all areas except physique vs. Ahhnold. The closest competitor would be kevin kiley...then cox, falcouner....any of them is way better than the imposter newsom.

Lawyer, businessman, media. author. He would be able to understand legal system...I like elder as gov...faulconer as mayor of l.a or s.f or sj...or sacto...Kiley as a leader in state senate...and Cox as lt. Gov. McClintock as u.s.senator. steve Cooley as ca attorney general.
The great thing about Elder is his ability to frame a topic and not be shy or incoherent regarding his positions. He wont get bullied around by the press. Just hope he has no disqualifying skeletons in his closet.
