I’m not dismissing them, just putting them in perspective. They’re a small, fringe group that has always been anti-vax. Healthcare workers in general (and CDC workers) are vaccinated at or above the level of their similar aged peers. The last figure I saw was June 28, showing 75% vaccination rate in a survey of 2500 hospitals. Most hospitals say front line staff (ER, ICU, COVID wards etc) are 100%, other areas less. Only about 50% of Americans 18-50 are vaccinated, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that non-front line healthcare workers are only a bit higher. No conspiracy there. I agree with many others that under 50 the personal benefit of the shot drops off significantly. Most HCW’s fit that category.
