Speaking of TEXTING, does anyone here know the legitimacy/efficacy/security of the TEXT ENCRYPTION APP called 'SIGNAL'?

This app SCRAMBLES your text message so no one else can read it other than the person on the receiving end of the text. Person on receiving end must ALSO have the 'SIGNAL' app, however.

PLEASE WEIGH IN, THANKS.

I don’t know about SIGNAL, I’ve heard of it...but there’s also Telegram which I do use. Point to point encryption, I hear governments hate it....although I believe it is made by some Russian folks, so I only use it to get information from channels on it - rarely actually send anything.

I think they’re similar.
