Source please. I am too lazy and too busy to try and hunt the incident up on Google.

Santiago de Compostela derailment in Spain in 2013. The train was suppose to slow to 50 MPH from its normal 136 MPH cruising speed before going into that curve. It was still doing 118 MPH. 79 people were killed and 140 were injured. 3 people walked away without a scratch.
