More to your query, though, you may or may not ever die from the vaccine. That is just the point. The side effects - both long term and short term - have not been properly studied. That is why it is an "experimental" vaccine and that is why its use should be strictly voluntary. Of course people who choose not to be vaccinated need to take other measures to avoid contracting or spreading the virus if there is a surge.
By the way, I only use the term "vaccine" for want of a better name for an experimental mRNA drug.
