In Houston a rapper named Travis Scott’s people gave away valuable tickets to a “sold out” concert/festival in the black community if they showed they’d voted.

And if I recall correctly those tickets were even being distributed at one of the precincts.

I think a better answer would be to give money to voting centers for more workers/voting booths so no one has to wait in line. It’s one of the few things I wouldn’t really object to spending tax dollars on.

You can bring it. You can go to the public water fountain. You can even get it from the election officials. I wondered what the big deal was until I found out the Democrats and various sponsoring groups were turning voting into a huge, free pizza party in violation of the previous law. The new law just makes it clear that providing any food or drink is providing something of value to the voters. Then the Dems whined about water like it was the only thing given.

If the Dems were passing out Biden t-shirts in violation of the law and the Republican legislature explicitly outlawed it, the the Dems would be crying about naked children in line.
