The shock, detected on Friday afternoon, is near a location where the United States Navy conducted tests last month.
On June 18, the Navy reported that its aircraft, the USS Gerald R. Ford, successfully completed a scheduled explosive event on the U.S. east coast as part of Full Ship Shock Trials. That event also measured a magnitude 3.9 shock.
At the time of the testing in June, the Navy said it would be conducting full ship shock trials through late summer. This is part of validating that the ship can withstand battle conditions, according to the Department of Defense. After that, the ship will undergo six months of modernization, maintenance, and repairs.

The ship might survive these test explosions, but the real question is will it survive the “woke” affirmative action hires commanding it?
Maybe testing some of our new underwater unmanned vessels?
Last time these were done was in 2016.
It can be scary as Hell running an explosive test on hardware you intend to keep using. Numerous times in WWII, and I’m sure in earlier wars, a nearby explosion disabled the ship. It wasn’t uncommon for a depth charge attack to knock the diesel motors off their mounts in submarines. In tanks, the shockwave can break legs. In ships the shock can knock things over, trap crewmen, jam doors open or closed...all of these effects can, to some extent, be mediated. But as I explained to the air force representative complaining about the failure of our equipment in a particularly aggressive test, “If (this item) breaks, believe me, it will be the very last thing the crew is concerned about.” (He went from angry to barking out a laugh.)
USS Thresher, lost in April 1963 with the loss of 129 lives, is thought to have suffered a chain of events that began with the failure of a silver-brazed joint in a seawater line that may have been weakened by shock-pressure tests done months earlier.

Biggest plane in the Navy since the USS Macon?
Every marine animal within 5 miles will have a concussion.
There was a very prolonged deep rumbling late yesterday.
This was MUCH longer than any of the usual afternoon thunderstorm rumblings.
I even looked out a window expecting to see something rising. :(
The Kaiju are coming from a hole in the ocean there!!!
It’s time to start building giant robots!!!
