The government just prints as much moolah as they need so taxes are putative and are not really to collect revenue.
I don’t think you are correct.
The taxes allow them to keep making the “minimum payment” on the credit card. It is all a complicated debt scheme, but they still need the taxes.
They are printing money with reckless abandon, now, but you can already see that there is only so much of that you can do, if you still want the dollar to be worth anything. I think they don’t care, and that should, probably, be the point.
