Almost certainly, these were items he owned before the court order.

What he did was *nothing*. The court required him to move the firearms out of his possession.

That is the court order he apparently violated.

18 USC 922(n) States:

(n) It shall be unlawful for any person who is under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce any firearm or ammunition or receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.

It says nothing about divesting any currently owned firearms, and it specifically prohibits him from shipping or transporting any firearm while under indictment.

If he cannot transport the firearms, how is he supposed to divest himself of them? Call in the "Gun Moving Company?"
