Texas Senate passes GOP election reform bill after Democrat lawmakers leave state to stall vote

The Texas Senate passed its version of an election reform bill Tuesday. However, it is stalled until Texas House Democrats return.

In an 18 to 4 vote along party lines, Senate Republicans passed SB1, which would add new identification requirements for absentee and mail-in-voting, ban some early voting, and create new criminal penalties for breaking certain election codes, according to CBS News.

The bill passed despite Texas Democrats' attempt to deny Republicans a quorum, the number of legislators needed for the state legislature to conduct business. On Monday, 50 House Democrats and nine Senate Democrats fled the state to Washington D.C. to deny the quorum. However, 22 state senators remained, enough for the Senate to debate, vote on, and pass the bill.

"How much fraud's okay? None. How much suppression's okay? None," the bill's author, Republican state Sen. Bryan Hughes said Tuesday afternoon while debating the bill. "That's why this bill makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat."

Yes. Wasted NO TIME. Texas deals with it's own. Not DC.

Now the Texas House is the next obstacle.

Now the Texas House is the next obstacle.

Abbott said he would have them arrested. He better, or he will never be taken seriously again.

Could the Speaker of the Texas House declare that remote voting is authorized, so all the AWOL Dems have no excuse to not vote?. Therefore, quorum is filled.

How incredible that 22 TX Senate Rats didn’t participate in the camera sham for MSNBC and CNN. I assume those are “swing” State Senate districts and they know a bloodbath is coming for the Rats in the next election.

Who’s footing the bill for all of this?

They flew on the plane of the Lebanese consul from Las Vegas -- a foreign diplomat, and one likely arranged by Soros himself.

Other States Look To Texas For Advice On How To Get Democrats To Leave

In a brilliant move, Governor Greg Abbott has tricked dozens of Democrat legislators into leaving Texas. This is leading other governors across the country to ask Texas for advice on how they can get Democrats to leave their states as well.

“Arizona is a beautiful state,” said Governor Doug Ducey, “but it has one problem: it’s full of Democrats. Is there some way we can just get them to—I dunno—leave? Why can’t they live in California or Cuba, or somewhere they’ll fit in better?”

The governor of Georgia has also stated he will be flying to Texas to learn all of Governor Abbott’s secrets to making Democrats go somewhere else.

“We hope to follow the great example set by Texas,” said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. “Democrats have this nasty habit of destroying their states like a plague of locusts, turning it into a burnt husk of death and decay, and then moving to another Republican state to feast on the prosperity built by higher quality people than they’ll ever be, then importing their depraved and inhuman policies as they consume all the wealth and happiness of the state like some sort of demonic chupacabra, until they finally bring a once-great American state to its knees, drowning in a cesspool of poverty and corruption, at which point they spread their locust wings and fly to the next state... what was I talking about? I can’t remember. Oh yeah—how do we get Democrats to leave?”

At the time of publishing, 32 other states have announced comprehensive “make the Democrat politicians go somewhere else” plans, which they hope to have fully implemented by the end of this year.

According to reports, Texas is now a blissful and prosperous utopia, only 12 hours after Democrat lawmakers left in their private charter plane.

Gov. Abbott should declare a “state of legislative emergency” and cut off all money to those Dems who fled the state. This would include office operations money, staffer money, PAYCHECKS, pension funding, travel money, advertising funds, etc.

He should also suspend their security clearances or the equivalent of it if they have such things.

Keep them out of the state or arrest them if they come back and take them directly to the Texas legislature House part for a scheduled vote.

If they refuse, put them in jail for “contempt” of whatever you can find as grounds for it.

If they play “flee the playground”, Texas should play “No play, no play, go directly to jail” Power Monopoly.

I’m sure Governor Abbott knows what can be legally done.

The #ComDem_Crazies do not care about the Rule of Law. They believe they have such good motives that they are exempt.

Barf Barf
