CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — “I’ve always got in touch with law enforcement that we can at least let them know the timeline to let them know when we are doing service,” Seon Williams, Williams Memorial Service, said.
That’s what one funeral home does and others are considering after shootings across Central Illinois. There was a deadly shooting at a funeral luncheon in Champaign last week. It happened outside of an American Legion, but some funeral homes are taking that into consideration and working with police.
WCIA spoke with two funeral homes in Champaign. One place says they have not needed to have any extra security and one who says he’s feeling the impact of gun violence first hand.
“These guys don’t understand the process of grieving and so the way they grieve is retaliation,” Williams said.

What’s the deal? Gang fight results in somebody getting killed, so the gang comes to the funeral of the deceased to kill off more people in retaliation? What the heck?
Amish funerals. They can be pretty rough.
A bit of advice to funeral homes, don’t hold funeral services for rappers, they are bullet-magnets.
But doesn’t that drum up more business in the long run?
Asking for a friend.
Yeah. Nothing says “Let’s honor the deceased” like charging in and killing more people. /s
I think a little research will reveal what the common factor is in these shootings. That will make it easier to take preventive measures.

Here is a run down on the biggest employers. It’s mostly the university, local government & education, and health care (hospitals and other medical care related).
In the Chicago area, they give 21-gun salutes for notable gang members, and they generally don’t use blanks!
“Should have cremated the sumbitch.”

And look at the 1998 list on the bottom. Some of the biggest Champaign-Urbana employers have shrunk between 1998 and today, including the University.
Champaign is two hours south of Chicago and is known as “Little Chi town” among the locals.

Warlord: “What is best in life?” Conan: “To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.”
And they tend to aim low.
I see the problem.
So many great lines by Gleason in that movie.

Must be guns in Indiana. Anything else would be raciss.
Only if they learn how to hit their targets.

Not completely true any more. They used to target each other pretty much, but CRT and BLM have made the rest of us fair game.
