Ma Yun didn’t actually say anything and his disappearance was more to do with his 48 billion dollar fortune, his growing power, influence and his role model status. All of those threatened the rule of the CCP which always has to come out on top, plus they wanted all his assets for themselves.
Its not what you say so much, its what you represent that will get you disappeared. Many other Chinese billionaires have been shot, imprisoned and disappeared for much the same reason even to including one very famous actress who simply had too big a following.
