Team U.S.A. swimmer Michael Andrew informed the press that he refused to take any of the coronavirus vaccines ahead of the Tokyo Olympic games.
He explained his reasoning for not getting vaccinated:
“I didn’t want to put anything in my body that I didn’t know how I would potentially react to,” the swimmer said. “As an athlete on the elite level, everything we do is very calculated. For me in the training cycle, especially leading up to trials, I didn’t want to risk any days out because we do know that there are periods where getting the vaccine, you have to deal with some days off.”
Still, Andrew went on to say that because of the virus protocols, he didn’t think a vaccine was even necessary.
“But as far as that goes, U.S.A. Swimming and all of us here have been through a very strict protocol with lots of testing, masks, socially distant, obviously staying away from the crowds, everything like that,” he added. “And going into Tokyo, the same thing, with testing every day. So we feel very safe and protected, knowing that we’re minimizing risk as much as possible.”
The IOC has not moved to require vaccinations for athletes, but some reports say that more than 80 percent Olympians headed to Tokyo have been vaccinated ahead of the games.
The 22-year-old swimmer enters the games as America’s best freestyle and breaststroke competitor and already has several Gold medals to his record. He earned one at the 2016 World Championships, then went on to take the Gold in the 100-meter breaststroke in the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships, and another gold in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships.
He also enters the Tokyo games as a favorite to win the Gold for the U.S.A.

A young athlete is the last person on earth who needs a COVID-19 vaccination.
More importantly, can somebody explain why there are not any women “transitioning” to men who can take home the gold in Men’s Freestyle?
If he were old and fat, he might be putting himself at risk. Olympic swimmers tend to be young and lean.

Correct. He already has far superior immunity than could be provided by any vaccine, and at much less risk. He has made the right decision.

There are certain variants that will hit you even if you have Covid. A good example of that was what happened in Peru and Brazil. The vaccines give you more antibodies to fight the disease. You keep leaving that part out.
I have no idea why people (other than those allergic) don’t take the vaccines other than they have been sucked into crazy conspiracies or hoping that the virus wins out. It’s such a huge triumph of Donald Trump’s presidency but many on this board want to shun his accomplishment.
He made the right decision.
He has already recovered from Covid, he IS in effect NATURALLY VACCINATED.
Why would he want to pump his body with something man-made?

You probably did not know that this athlete already had Covid and recovered. Why would he need to vaccinate when he already has natural antibodies?
Study from the Cleveland Clinic concludes that there’s no point vaccinating after you’ve already had Covid.

Look at the video in Georgia that showed removing votes out of a suitcase under a table after some election folks went home while others stayed.
Lots of folks around here said there’s your fraud. The Georgia SOS, who is a republican, had his team of investigators look into it and determined everything was okay and typical for how votes are stored and counted (though most on this board with exception of a few, like me, don’t want to believe the GOP SOS and his entire investigation team and would rather call him a bunch of names).
My point is a person doesn’t have to be a liar if he or she swears to an affidavit. They can not fully understand what they are seeing or hearing.

Getting the shot doesn’t protect you from catching the virus. Israel reported almost 50% of new cases are from the vaccinated. Some are in the hospital seriously ill.
