For once, I am on Russia’s side. I hope they go in there and apply the Dalek philosophy to the Muzzies.
Rinse, repeat.

Cool.
Does that mean we can get three way action - Russia vs. the PRC vs. Afghanistan?

We should’ve stayed hands-off on Afghanistan in the 1980s. We’d have saved ourselves a huge amount of difficulty.

The Taliban are soon going to be back in control of Afghanistan. The critical thing is to make sure it doesn’t become a base to export radical Islam.

Pakistan and the Central Asian states are all corrupt and unstable. In the 1990s Afghanistan provided a support and protection for many militant groups operating outside its borders.

“The critical thing is to make sure it doesn’t become a base to export radical Islam.”

And who, in the hell, is going to stop it?

Not this time, as I believe they learned their lesson. Just bomb the $@#$% out of them without any occupation, then turn around and go back home.

From this article it looks like it is Russia who will try to guard Central Asia.

For Pakistan, we’ve spent 50 years working to try to make that mess a success. Expect to see a lot more American money going there once Afghanistan goes.

G. Gordon Liddy had some interesting commentary regarding Russian troops taking the bodies of dead Taliban sew them up in Pigskins and drop them in the villages from helicopters.

I understand it was pretty effective as a deterrent.

I’d be surprised if there were any trouble after Fightin’ Joe Biden taught them a lesson they won’t soon forget. Come on, man...

Just bomb the $@#$% out of them without any occupation, then turn around and go back home.

That could work, but it becomes expensive.

That doesn’t sound nice after the US got the same result, or even worse. It took three years for it to fold after Soviet withdrawal.
