A 75-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when a shoplifter allegedly knocked her over while fleeing from a business in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood last week, police said Tuesday.

The saddest part of this story is that the poor man felt he had to run just for taking a sandwich. Probably because he justifiably feared racist cops would use it as an excuse to beat him.
