The problem is that they believe they can own your property. They can break into your house and live there just by using their Right to Imminent Domain.
“Just for those wondering why the Trooper pulled before seeing “anything” suspicious....the Troopers are obligated (it is one of their defined jobs) to assist drivers who have pulled off the interstate and who have their flashers on.”
The report I read said it was in the middle of the night and troopers stopped to assist some vehicles with emergency flashers on. One report said that as the troopers stopped some people ran off into the woods.
I used to go from Natick to Wilmington a couple of times a week. I did that for a few years.
Even now if my wife and I are driving into Boston, as soon as I hit the 95 exit of the pike, I lean over and tighten my grip.
80 MPH, 3 feet from the car next to you. Maybe a car length in front of you.
It would take years off your life.
I’m trying to figure out WTF you could do to get pulled over on that stretch of 128. Apparently one of them ran out of gas, and the other car went to fetch some, and they were standing around at sling arms on the side of the highway, which probably resulted in some phone calls. They were idiots.
After Winthrop and that Rabbi in Brighton cops are going to be on edge.
They were pulled over, filling up one of the cars. They weren’t pulled over by the trooper. He just came upon them.
As if you couldn’t make it from RI to ME on a tank of gas. Morons.
He certainly does, although the Marxichusetts NaziCommies will dispute that fact...
Massachusetts has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. You can’t even possess or buy ammo without a firearms ID card. Magazine capacity restrictions, “assault weapons” ban, etc. You can’t carry a pocket knife lomger than 2.5 inches. Carrying an unlicensed, assembled firearm, accessible within a vehicle carries a mandatory minimum jail sentence, for a first time offender, no exceptions. They’d probably been better off committing a wide variety of felonies, than carrying guns in MA.
When I travel through MA, NY, NJ and other states, I’ll UPS my weapon to my destination, rather than risk carrying it, disassembled, in a locked case, in my trunk. Just sayin’.......
Sure would be nice to have one set of federal laws, but the politicians would, inevitably, use it to restrict firearms ownership.
I got that part, but if they had been refueling without firearms and making a show of themselves they probably wouldn’t have been pulled over. The only thing State Troopers would be on 128 (or as you know I-95) for is speed enforcement, which is not a popular public service. You have to be doing about 105 on 128 to a ticket.
“Apparently one of them ran out of gas, and the other car went to fetch some, “
They left Pawtucket for Maine and ran out of gas 60 miles away in Mass. ?
That’s why you train. To learn from your mistakes.
No one has been convicted on that mandatory jail sentence in ages. It always gets plead down—unless you are committing a felony.
I am no fan of mass gun laws. But most of the really annoying stuff comes at the hand of the dictator AG we have. She is an evil piece of work.
Listening to Jeff Kuhner now . He says they had full gas cannisters in their vehicles .
The co-founder is an ex-Marine BTW.
And my bet is nothing will happen to them because their skin color is too dark, and thus doesn’t fit the government narrative.
Look how long it took to take down James “Whitey” Bulger.
The local cops were compromised.
The State Police were compromised.
Even the FIB’s were compromised.
It’s been said that (then U.S. Attorney) Mueller was on Bulger’s payroll too.
Those crazy moops!
CC
If that is the case it sounds like they were avoiding cameras at gas stations.
Pulling to the side of a main road with flashers makes no sense.
