The theory of evolution is entirely compatible with Christian faith. It really is, and quite frankly, I do believe in a "big bang". When God created the heavens & earth, I'm sure there was a HUGE bang. Lol.

When God created the heavens & earth, I'm sure there was a HUGE bang. Lol. One of the top two reasons for millions of young people to reject the Catholic and Protestant faiths is "evolution." another is "suffering."
Among others, Catholic writer and host Dr. Ray Guarendi said God said let there be light and two "days" later in the Bible created the Sun and planets. Where did the "light" come from before the Sun?
His idea (as others) it was the light of God's Big Bang, discovered by scientists in the 1900s.

Rabbi Nachmanides came up with the Big Bang Theory about 800 years ago based on his study of the Torah.
