I did look it up and found there are zero Constitutional mechanisms for a do over.
She's incapable of sincere response or rational discourse.
The minor fact that the election has already been certified and a president and vice-president sworn in.
An Electoral College elector who was elected to vote for one candidate but instead votes for another. In 2016 Trump had two faithless electors and I believe Clinton had five.
So, you see how the electors and not the people elect the president. A billion people could have voted for President Trump, but if the electors all decided that Bill Gates should be president, then the person inaugurated would be Bill Gates, at least at the federal level. States have different ways of dealing with faithless electors - most states don’t have any process.
Many of the responses in this thread trend on the idea that it’s over (the election), so deal with it.
Lindell has been singularly blessed by God, and I tend to give some credence to his findings. One thing I think Lindell is 100% correct on is how important it is to get rid of the voting machines. If nothing else comes of what Lindell is saying, that alone will be massive.
As Tucker Carlson claims, with high credibility, that his private emails are being reviewed by the NSA, and that an insider contacted him (Carlson) and disclosed info from the emails proving to Carlson the charge of NSA spying was credible. In like fashion, it seems both possible and credible that someone with access to NSA databases was the one (or more?) who grabbed the packet-capture streams which Lindell’s white-hat hackers are using.
I think the combination of what the packet-captures ostensibly show coupled with the fact that voting machines with proprietary software lack all credibility will cause a number of states to ditch the machines and return to one-day, paper ballot voting.
He seems like a nice enough guy, but politics isn’t his strong point.
exactly, his heart is in the right place.
That is likely the craziest scenario I've seen on my time on Free Republic, and believe me that's saying a lot.
Yes, it’s crazy, but it’s just an extreme example.
We can only trust that the electors do the right thing when it’s their turn to vote. After they vote and it’s certified, the process is complete. I suppose some Biden elector can go to court and say they were fooled by fraud and want to change their vote, but that isn’t a thing that would ever happen.
So what’s your solution?
I was really using it as an example for post 142 for The MAGA-Deplorian.
But, sincerely, the only solution imho - barring doing away with the Electoral College completely - is to make sure that real Constitutional Conservatives make up the state legislatures. Then, when it’s time to certify a state’s slate of electors, the people with the proper understanding of what they’re doing will be able to vet the slate.
That’s my issue with all the hopium regarding President Trump being reinstated in August or September or October or whenever the next goalpost is erected.
I hope I included The MAGA-Deplorian correctly. I don’t want to talk behind FReepers’ backs.
I was wondering who you were aiming that to. However, in answer to your question, A faithless elector is an individual in the Electoral College who decides not to vote for their own registered party’s candidate. Faithless electors may act alone, or join with other electors.
These are not Faithless electors. These are Fraudulent Electors. ALL OF THEM! Representives of non-existing voters. They were assigned to Joe Biden illegally through fraud. There is a big difference
