Bush is in office for one thing,,,,she got herself elected to a $175k/year job and lifetime pension. She is just plain dumb politically and is on the take to any idea if the money is right.

I don’t know how dumb she is politically. She won her seat from a family who had held it for decades. She is saying what the majority of voters in her district want to hear and frankly doesn’t think she has to give a damn what we think—and her voters approve of that attitude.

The seat is hers unless or until someone more radical comes along or her district comes to its senses. I think the former is much more likely than the latter. Look at who St. Louis has elected as district attorney and mayor.
