So glad I wasted four years of my life there.
And left a huge part of my sanity there.
It won’t be six months before the Afghan government falls; it will be days or weeks as the house of cards implodes IMO. the US media will stop covering it.
Afghan Army rifles for sale - never been used, and only dropped once.
There is no cure for cowardice
You can spend Billions giving cowards weapons, trillions teaching them to fight, and tens of thousands of American lives sacrificed for cowards
As soon as they see a Toyota pickup with a few Taliban, three things happen
1). After soiling their pants the cowards flee
2). Training they received is forgotten
3). Previously unarmed Taliban acquire Billions in weapons that have never been fired
Americans aren’t cowards. We aren’t afraid to face an enemy that is intent upon slaughtering our children, and engaging them to the death
Absolutely. Its what was done with Obama/Clinton's utter stupidity and failures in Egypt, Syria and especially Libya. Who in America knows that Libya is basically a failed state, where war still rages, slavery has been revived, and tens of thousands are dying yearly?
Press is setting us up to keep our troops there.
Warmongers gonna warmonger.
The Taliban have a lot of Torture and Executions to catch up on
There are about 10 million Afghans who belong to ethnic groups who opposed the Taliban and supported us.
When the Taliban take over we may see one of the largest refugee crises in history.
Women will suffer the most
Then why are they letting the Talban take over
Thanks for your service but I have to agree with your sentiment. Our leaders really suck. God bless you.
Thanks for serving your country. We the people are great, it is the government that sucks.
One might ask the question:
"If we the people are so great, why do we have a government that sucks?"
Benedict Biden LOST Afghanistan.
A huge part of the problem was we did all the fighting AND dying for them.
We did so much of the fighting they never learned or (more likely) needed to do their own fighting.
Now that we’re leaving they’re really caught.
To the Afghani’s... Well, fight now or just give up, we’ve grown not to care, especially when you don’t yourselves..
To the Taliban, just a reminder. If you mess with us again, we’ve learned you’re not worth a single US Soldier’s or Marine’s life but the US Air Force and Navy will gladly drop bombs on you. Or we send robots, whatever works.
Truth: Well, yeah, that should be the lesson, but that will depend if we have someone like Trump in charge or someone like Joe Obamaden.
When the Northern Alliance swept the taliban from the field, with our support, that should have been the end for us. Maybe a few precision airstrikes here and there afterwards, to keep em’ honest.
Instead Vietnam repeats itself. You’d think some people would learn.
President Pudding Cup strikes again.

A world where women and girls could become educated for example. You may or may not know that women had more personal freedom, at least in Kabul, in 1960 under Muhammed Zahir Shah than they do know. Wore western clothes, went to university, etc. This enraged the mullahs in the countryside—not Afghan values.
It was, in my opinion, a fool’s errand to try and nation build in Afghanistan. Lots of Afghans are going to die, a lot of them tried to help us civilize their countrymen. It will not be pretty.
Now it’s China’s turn to secure the date earth me neral resources there. All thanks to idiotic electric care mandates.
