Lloyd Marcus was an extraordinary man, once of the very finest I’ve ever met. Lloyd Marcus was an extraordinary man, once of the very finest I’ve ever met.
My earliest email message from him is from 2008, so that is the year I met him at a large event where he was doing outreach one by one, person by person.
In conversing with this friendly, smart, articulate, exuberant patriot who cut a fine, memorable figure in his signature hat, I knew I had just met an outstanding, inspired and inspirational person whom I would not forget.
Somehow I missed the sad news last year that Lloyd passed away.
A Fourth of July email I received yesterday from his wife to his distribution list of friends included that sad, sad news. She is planning Fourth of July activities in his memory and sharing his messages.
I plan to reread Lloyd Marcus’ messages, postings on his website, as well as his articles distributed by Rip McIntosh.
His wife can use help in keeping his messages and work alive. My posting this information is being done entirely on my own accord.
Lloyd’s father and my father were pastor friends. I always felt a kinship with Lloyd. His passing has left a hole in our hearts.
