I don't see where "corporatist" comes in here. Also, there was never a question at our nation's founding of forcing the disparate religious communities to conform to a single set of beliefs.

The concerns of our founding fathers were trifling in comparison to what we are dealing with today. The fact that they were willing to take up arms against relatively small increases in taxes while we remain docile in the face of extreme taxation and threats to our basic rights and freedoms says a lot about how much things have deteriorated in the US.
