It’s almost guaranteed that anything having to do with “stopping violence” in cities is going to end up with people being killed and guns (rather than people) being blamed.

I heard some excuse from that Chicago mayor, Lori Light-in-the-Brain, complain that Chicago's violence was caused by the guns the criminals could get from the surrounding areas and states.

No mention of any lack of leadership on her part.
