Otoh, I was reading an article about China/India and a comment was that China had effectively encircled India to the point of now threatening India’s access to their mountain water supply by starting construction on a mega dam. The thought struck me that with China embedded in South America on both coasts, (and to a certain extent in Canada) and striking a we-wont-nuke-each-other agreement with Russia, that North America is also encircled.
Idk details but clearly Xi has a strategic plan for global hegemony, of global reach. And to isolate the USA from allies and neighbors would be a primary goal. As Canadian government continues down the sh*tter and Mexico walks away in scorn from the despicable Biden bunch, The possibility exists.
