Conservatives need to be able to differentiate.
That's a ridiculous argument. That is like saying they aren't teaching math in elementary schools because they aren't teaching about Reiman manifolds or Fermat's contribution to number theory.
I don't know about you but the conservatives I know are able to understand that you can and normally do teach the "fundamental tenets" of a concept to elementary school students and leave the arcane details for later. But teaching the fundamentals is broadly the same as teaching the concepts that later get elaborated on in more advanced classes.
Teaching basic racism, and a model of group based identity and responsibility to elementary students is still wrong, even if you are holding off on the more advanced topics until they are older.
I suggest applying a simple test to materials of the sort advocated by the supporters of teaching the fundamental tenets of CRT in elementary school. Just replace "white" with another word like "black" or "jewish" or "gay" and see if you are comfortable with the lesson plans then.
“That is like saying they aren’t teaching math in elementary schools because they aren’t teaching about Reiman manifolds or Fermat’s contribution to number theory. “
My argument is exactly the opposite.
