I posted on another thread that the EU shouldn’t restrict Brit tourists because they have such a high vaccination rate. Delta is the dominant variant now but they’re trying their best to outrun it, with an average of 85% of the adult pop with a first dose that gives limited protection, and over two-thirds with a second dose - first dose breakdown: 89% Wales, 83% Scotland/England, 79% Northern Ireland.

Delta is the dominant variant now (in the UK) but they’re trying their best to outrun it.
They are speeding up second shots (now open to all after 3 weeks, had been 12-16 weeks between shots), and using more of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, that seems a bit more effective against Delta. Adapting the Program to the unique challenges of this variant.
The UK has a very significant percentage vaccinated already, so they have a big lead on suppressing this variant.
