A local company just closed a branch store. No theft problem. Not enough employees to keep the store open.

A fair number of local fast food places, after a burst of opening for dine-in post Covid, have gone back to only drive-through because of lack of workers.

Why not pay more? Supply and demand. People flunked economics. No wonder so many are closing. Just because we don’t want government involvement in wages doesn’t mean that companies should pay what workers are willing to work for.
