It’s no a question of loyalty………it’s called “No Other Option”.
In order for you and I to get news, to communicate, shop, for work, and much more being added everyday where the internet is necessary, we really have no choice but to use whatever is available.
As far as the Chinese knowing that I buy Ultra Soft Toilet Paper, or tons of stuff from Chewy, I don’t think that matters.
I mean, who cares? The Chicoms are not going to be able to take this country over because I order 80s music from Apple.
They’ll need to fight for it.
Nuke us, or get troops here.
So either we stay completely off the internet, or the advertisers and Chicoms will know what color curtains you prefer.
Linux works just fine for all of these listed use cases without contributing to the swamp in any of its sectors. It’s not the only option either. Completely cutting off the internet and getting rid of all TVs and radios is just not necessary.
I’d be happy to help in any way I could and I know there are others around here as well. You wouldn’t be the first I’ve helped switch and won’t be the last.
But the inevitability you describe, it’s not that way.
