Just whom does the NFL think its fan base is? The LGBTQ community? Gawd how stupid can they be.
Makes one wonder about Roger Goodell.
Looking at their business model, it makes some sense. They have two primary revenue streams; ticket buying fans that also buy concessions and merchandise and TV contracts.
While the TV contracts are dependent on viewers, it’s the AD REVENUE from those contracts, collected by the networks, that pays the bills. Where does the ad revenue come from? Corporate sponsors. What has corporate America decided it’s going to push all in on? The LGBTQ ‘community.’ This is nothing but a transparent attempt to ingratiate themselves with corporate America.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if their biggest corporate sponsors pushed them in this direction. Who are their biggest sponsors? Anheuser-Busch and Nike, two of the most outspokenly supportive LGBTQ companies in the US.
