The correct term I believe is disfigurement. Mentally ill men and women go through a phase where they disfigure their bodies, at the end of which they imagine they are of the opposite sex.
Back in the 50’s John Hopkins University started to do tranny surgeries. The suicide rate was so high they stopped it in a few years.
Our tolerance of the mentally ill is now through the roof.
