True story.

A woman I heard in person said “I wanted to go to the class reunion but I felt awkward. All of them had professional careers and I just stayed at home and raised our five children until they were grown. I felt like I didn’t measure up if they’d start a conversation with them.”

Loving wife with a happy marriage and raised good kids but felt unfeminist and unsocialist for it.

A society with sick values.

My mom was a feminist and raised me to be one. I had to figure it out for myself that it was a lie and that children were the best thing. I never regretted putting my career on hold and staying home with my kids.

She is right for her age.

My mom stayed at home, and many of her classmates thought that was nuts.
