Many years ago I worked for an engineering firm that had really nice office space in Hawthorne, NY. Behind the building was a Metro-North rail station, walk to the station and 40 minutes on the train you were in Manhattan where we did a lot of work. I say all that to display it was pricey office space.
In the same building was the “Volunteers of America” charity. They had a nice little lobby behind double glass doors. Never saw anyone in there. Then they remodeled to just a security window and employees entering through an unmarked solid steel door around the corner in the hallway to the restrooms.
Once established, they want to securely syphon their 8-12 percent off the top and charge every type of expense. It’s the inevitable path of every so called “non-profit”.
Worse then government.
Worse than a slot machine. LOL!
