You are conflating different and disparate things as “earth”

You mean the curse of "thorns and thistles" were only in the garden? Nope. The earth was perfect, everywhere, until Adam sinned.

No the curse of thorns and thistles” was outside eden, the garden “in the east”. Genesis does not say that the whole earth was that “perfect garden”, just eden.
