And that’s the point. If you can’t build a bipartisan consensus on a bill then you can assume a sizable portion of the populace probably doesn’t like it. If you want straight up one man one vote majority rule, you’ve got that in the House. The Senate was meant to be the deliberative body.
Oh, I agree. I just find it funny (sort of) that the bitching and whining here over the Democrats’ filibustering for four years was intense, and now it’s just as bad over at DU.
