HONG KONG, June 24 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's most vocal pro-democracy newspaper, Apple Daily, printed its last edition on Thursday after a stormy year in which its tycoon owner and other staff were arrested under a new national security law, and its assets were frozen.
The closure of the popular tabloid, which mixes pro-democracy views with celebrity gossip and investigations of those in power, marks the end of an era for media freedom in the Chinese-ruled city, critics say.

That is what the CCP is teaching all their liberal minions over in this country.
If free people are still around in 50-years - a big if, IMO - what is happening right now in China particularly as it relates to the subjugation of Hong Kong and the possible (probable) ethnic cleansing of the Muslim Uighurs will be seen an unconscionable acts of disinterest by the rest of the free world.
That this is happening while western countries and their leaders remain silent, does not bode well for Taiwan. The Taiwanese should be fearful.
meanwhile Reuters, ASS Press, NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN continue to suck up to the CCP.
Taiwan has a military.
I simply cannot believe we are living this. To many coincidences with China,Covid,2020 election and the energized left. I DO believe the Republicans are the key to it all by their absolute worthlessness. Trump was the only thing in the way.
So did Poland.
The only thing that keeps Taiwan reasonable safe is the implied protection of the US, a country that is led by a guy who is owned by China.
