Fire personnel estimate 50+ people trapped under debris
Initial Report:
- Emergency services receive numerous 911 calls at 1:28am CST
- Smoke and debris continue to litter onto the streets
- Witnesses report a ‘tremendous boom’
- 2/3 of the tower has collapsed
- 136 residents
actually 136 units. Could be many more residents.
Tremendous boom
Not sure if they describe the tower noise falling, or like a gas explosion in the basement
Was wondering if their was any sort of boom/explosion sound, ahead of this collapse.
Could definitely be a gas explosion.
