local article quoted a witness saying he saw Hurley charge the bad guy, emptying Hurley’s gun into the bad guy (5-6 shots), and the bad guy then slumped against a wall ... dollars to doughnuts the cops shot Hurley ... it makes zero sense to keep the identity of the bad guy secret unless the cops are trying to hide something ...

I’m gonna bet that there is never a millisecond x millisecond timeline released for all involved peeps.
Very plausible.
“Hero” is focused on the attacker.
“Law enforcement” becomes focused on shooting anyone with a gun.
