Every year I get my hopes up for a new record, but the last couple years I've been disappointed. At this rate they will be lucky to hit 600 by New Year's Day. I'm hoping for a real hot humid summer to juice things up. And hope of hopes, it they ever could hit 1000, now that would be a memorable season! There's still time; I'm not giving up hope!

I am trying to put my head around how Chicago can put up with so many deaths. My conclusion is that it is mostly black on black crime. Since progressives are trying hard to make all minorities exempt from being treated as criminals when they commit crimes, even violent crimes, the thought pattern must be that most (except when police do the shooting) of the shootings are not crimes and therefore nothing should be done.
We now seem to be entering an era when it depends on your ethnic, racial, or gender status that determines if you have committed a crime or not, not your actions.
