After Indiana University recently implemented a vaccine mandate for all students, parents founded The IU Family for Choice not Mandates group and filed a lawsuit Monday against the university.
publicly funded university sent an email to all faculty, staff, and students announcing they are “required to receive a COVID-19 vaccine,” according to a press release. The university threatened employees who do not want to take the vaccine, noting that if they refuse it, their employment will be terminated. Similarly, students who refuse the vaccine will lose access to all IU systems and have their class registration revoked.
In response, James Bopp Jr. of the Bopp Law Firm, P.C, who is representing The IU Family for Choice not Mandates, has filed a public records request asking for “all public records regarding the making of this decision and for all public records related to the implementation of this policy to determine whether or not this mandate is justified,” also warning that IU’s policy “opens the door to intentional religious discrimination” and that the University “could be in violation of federal law.”

It is time to step out of this quicksand and walk on solid ground again. May God help the USA.
My UVA grad (with distinction - all A’s her last 2 years) daughter just started a Master’s program in Teaching at UVA and cannot attend classes (required) on campus in the fall because, like IU, UVA is requiring the vaccine.
Can anyone here help us get together people and pro bono attorneys to do the same for UVA and to sue them?
BTW, no surprise here, as UVA has been a center for Marxist brainwashing for many decades - especially in the EDU Dept - but they are actively teaching CRT and other Marxist BS to the point that students may be given failure grades if they don’t tow the Marxist line.......
I would be curious to know what ‘power’ was given to them in their state charter from the legislature. If they weren’t making you show the typical dozen shots from your childhood....how could they invent this out of thin air now?
If vaccination was not a stipulation at the time of entering into the contract for services with the university (tuition, etc.) then the university cannot change the metrics of that contract without written agreement by both parties.
Well Well
Will wonders never cease?
Imagine that, someone finally questioned the merit of all this mess aimed toward children.
It is largely a state level issue.
This is NOT the typical vaccine. (if that is the name you want to use for it.)
Follow the money! Universities are dependent upon the State to stay in business. Two thirds of in-state tuition is paid by the State (Most States being bankrupt, means the Feds pay through your tax monies). Simply the Federal Government owns academic institutions. Within academic institutions monies are transferred from the Feds to the institutions roughly in two week intervals (may be slightly off, but was correct in 1998). This was a major concern during Y2K. State universities must follow the Federal government guidelines to remain solvent.
Follow the Money?
Yes, it is everywhere.
But at some point, there must be a connect to the law as it exists.
DC is the District of Corruption.
Almost everyone is dependent or bought.
The only solution? DownSize DC!
The move can only come from the pressure of the State Governments.
I am sorry you and your daughter are having the problem with school requirements.
I’m not involved in any of this on a personal level.
I would think the first step might be your state representative. Or your Congressman, since this probably goes back to Federal Funding.
Keep it voluntary. College kids are among the least susceptible to harm from the virus; so, while the vaccine is most certainly safe for them, there is no need to force them to take it. If they get sick and miss a week of school, it’s on them, and they will learn from it.
We agree that it should not be mandantory.
But.
“while the vaccine is most certainly safe for them”
I Do Not Agree on that statement.
Evidence is growing rapidly that the injection is not in fact safe.
World Health Organization Now Says Children Should Not Be Vaccinated, Also Reports of J&J Vaccine Recalled
Or why not have un-vaccinated students sign a waiver that if they get the ‘rona virus the university isn’t liable or responsible?
This way students will have a choice. Isn’t that what freedom is about?
And this should apply to the business world too. I read a lot of companies might require the jab just like schools. So let the company create a waiver the in-vaccinated sign and the company is off the hook for lawsuits.
All are leftist liberals who support Marxism......no help there.....
