If Republican Voting Reforms are 'Anti-Democratic,' All of Europe Is 'Anti-Democratic'
Townhall ^ | June 22, 2021 | John R Lott Jr

The American media keeps telling us two “facts.” Voter ID laws are “racist,” and election fraud claims are “false” and “baseless.” The New York Times labeled state ID and voting laws as showing “the Republican Party’s growing discomfort with democracy” and “dangerously anti-democratic.” The Washington Post described it as an “anti-democratic virus.” But if these characterizations are correct, all of Europe and virtually all other developed countries must be anti-democratic as they have even stricter anti-fraud provisions than any US state.

Democrats are pushing to remove identification requirements for voting, replacing voter ID rules with a sworn statement of self-identification. The new act seeks to make permanent the mail-in ballot voting of the pandemic. The mailing out of blank absentee ballots would become a fixture of American elections. The House already passed the “For the People Act of 2021,” and the Senate takes it up on Tuesday.

To study this, the Crime Prevention Research Center, of which I am the president, created a database on voting rules worldwide.

Take the 47 countries in Europe. Forty-six already require government-issued photo voter IDs to vote. The one exception is the United Kingdom, but Northern Ireland uses voter IDs for all elections and parts of England use them for local elections. And even that is changing. Boris Johnson’s government recently introduced legislation that will make photo voter IDs mandatory for all elections....

Dims don’t care about anything as long as a ballot is mailed to everybody in the country, and anybody can return them.

I think I heard Mark Steyn say in Canada:
You go to the polls
show an ID
fill out a ballot and cast it
votes are counted at the end of the day with reps from both parties observing

Damn near the rest of the world is ‘Anti Democratic’.

I worked the Iraqi elections in 2009, looking after some UN and US State Dept Election Monitors. A bit chaotic but every person had an ID and had to show it. Pretty amazing to watch actually.

As one of the monitors commented, who was a State Dept Commie, “these people run elections better than they do in DC”.

This country is NOT A DEMOCRACY! Democracy is mob rule. This is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

The goal of our system is to promote stability and protect the property of the PRODUCERS. We really don’t want everyone voting. We absolutely should require photo ID, plus evidence that you support yourself without any government help.

When we make it easier for illegals and other freeloaders to vote, the mob gets more opportunities to pick our pockets! As things stand now, we can’t trust elections. So, we might need to consider other ways to promote stability and protect property.

My take is that THE MOMENT that Democrats argued against Voter ID, it was clear that they have no interest in fair elections, and they needed to be EXPELLED from the political process.

Just debating Voter ID is HUMILIATING and shows they’ve already defeated us.

The Voter ID thing is a red herring.

Deep State loves to keep the conversation on that.

You know why?

Because with its handy dandy voting machines and RCV, even if every voter is a legal voter, elections can still be stolen.

Democrats say blacks are too stupid to get a VOTER ID... what they really mean is ‘calling for voter ID’S makes voter fraud harder’...

And we all know who voter fraud helps...

Once again democrats play the black community as stupid or criminal or foolis - and allow all the rest of us to look down on them... AND ALL THAT DAMAGE IS DONE TO INCREASE THE POWER OF WHITE LIBERAL ‘ELITES’... lol - joke’s on them.
