it’s actually extremely costly to get things into orbit. They would be much better of salvaging these things and reusing the parts or materials for other new objects in space.

Orbital mechanics makes it extremely difficult to "salvage" satellites.

The orbit of each has been specifically deconflicted with the others, so the energy required to somehow retrieve multiple satellites in a single mission is prohibitive.
