‘the nadir of America’s past’...??
I consider their executions a high point.
BTW their executions are what I celebrate on Juneteenth.

Members of my family were directly involved in the computations and design of the atomic bomb as well as the interrogations of the Rosenbergs and brother in law David Greenglass. The Rosenbergs were executed for their allegiances. The Soviets got nothing of value from them.

“Please Remove” ???? WTFAY??

Many articles are posted multiple times.

I “cruise” FR to read the postings and if I didn't see it last week then I'm glad to be able see it this week.

I certainly would not sit down and say to myself “I think I'll search FR for an article on the Rosenbergs...” ???

Absolutely they were guilty.

There were many more also guilty, who skated.

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs……

“Ethel was killed for being a wife"

Wait, what? The concept of wife has suddenly been brought back from the memory-hole among today's equality nazis? A woman has an obligation to obey her husband, right or wrong, in the view of today's Communists at the Guardian? Back in reality, mainstream Leftists today, like hard-core Communists in the mid-20th century--as well as the mid-19th century--spit before they even utter the word "wife."

What head-spinning hypocrisy, to clutch at that abused term to defend people who gave their lives for the cause of sending their neighbors to the gulags and firing squads of 20th century world Communism!

But here we are. Leftists are still the most boring, vindictive people on the face of the earth, who routinely can be found wishing suffering and even death on the innocent children of people they disagree with--never mind their wives and husbands.

The legacy of Robespierre, Marx, and their spiritual children: Hypocrisy. Deceit. And some of the longest, most mind-numbingly dull sentences ever written.

Perhaps we could repurpose the newly minted Federal holiday of “Juneteenth” as “Remember the Rosenbergs Day”. Somehow that would be about equally as appropriate.

The sons don’t ever give up. Many years ago they wrote a book that tried to exonerate their parents. I didn’t believe it then, and I don’t believe it now.

They were guilty as hell.

What makes this case controversial is they were held accountable, doesn't happen any more.

They were guilty as hell.

Alexander Feklisov, the KGB officer who handled the Rosenbergs would eventually publish his memoir, The Man Behind the Rosenbergs (New York: Enigma, 2001). To Cuban Missile Crisis buffs, he was known as Alexander Fomin, a prominent Soviet diplomat. However, he should be read carefully--unlike Whittaker Chambers and others who broke with Communism, he is proud of what he did. In 2020, Russia honored him by putting him on a postage stamp that dubbed him "hero of the Russian Federation, spy."

Here we go ... with lionizing heroes of the left who betrayed our country - they were pioneers in whose footsteps the modern left hopes to follow, using Chairman Mao’s guidance for utterly destroying a culture and a country, making all ready for the Great Reset under worldwide communism.

“Ethel is the only American woman killed by the US government for a crime other than murder.”

In 1865 Mary Surratt was executed for conspiracy in the Assasination of Abraham Lincoln. She was not charged with murder.

This article even manages to pull in Trump and smear him . I use to read books by former Soviet spies. In those books they said the Rosenbergs were definitely spies but not atomic spies. The FBI was getting close to the real atomic spy so the Soviets offered up the Rosenbergs as a sacrificial decoy. The real atomic spy was transferred to England where he worked until he was called back to Russia.

I am surprised they haven’t been hired for an Administration position by His Fraudulency.

Yep the need a new gig since their training of Aimes, Hanssen, Snowden and Winner are history.

I know to whom you you refer. I think his name starts with an "F" like Finney or something, and he wound up living in Russia after the Brits busted him out.

Any references will be appreciated!

Yes they were guilty as hell ! Supposedly Ethel was the master of the spy ring.

The problem is and its a PR/Opitcs problem. They’re the only spies executed under the modern Espionage Act in the modern era. It’s also my undestanding she made no effort to cooperate and remained a good little Red soldier to the end. If she had cooperated I doubt there would have been an execution. It didn’t help the optics that they were Jewish. (I am sure non-practicing probably atheist but still Jewish ethnicity!) This allowed the left to hang “anti-semitism” on the sentence. A lot of people say we should execute all spies. Well if you do and its automatic, you lose the information they take to the grave. If that happens you limit your CI investigation. You might never know the extent of the ring and its level of penetration. So you keep that possibility of execution out there as a lever. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Imperfect world imperfect solutions !

yes...but I think we have a paradox. The capitals of communism in the US, NYC and SF, are basically on the brink. Everyone is leaving. They have done a great job of spreading communism, but their capitals are sinking!
