In ear­ly June, Red­State edi­tor Jen­nifer Van Laar broke an exclu­sive sto­ry: Sources with­in the intel­li­gence com­mu­ni­ty had con­firmed to the out­let that a high-rank­ing offi­cial from the Chi­nese Com­mu­nist Par­ty had defect­ed to the Unit­ed States in Feb­ru­ary and has been qui­et­ly work­ing with the Defense Intel­li­gence Agency.

How­ev­er, the DIA did not dis­close the defector’s exis­tence to any indi­vid­u­als out­side of its Clan­des­tine Ser­vice net­work until recent­ly, the sources alleged, over con­cerns that “Chi­nese spies or sources” may have infil­trat­ed oth­er U.S. intel­li­gence agen­cies, includ­ing as the FBI or the CIA,

Accord­ing to the Red­State report, the sources said “the defec­tor has direct knowl­edge of spe­cial weapons pro­grams in Chi­na, includ­ing bioweapons programs.”

They report­ed­ly told Red­state that the indi­vid­ual had “pro­vid­ed an exten­sive, tech­ni­cal­ly detailed debrief to US offi­cials” and that DIA offi­cials con­sid­er the infor­ma­tion “legit­i­mate.”

Addi­tion­al­ly, Red­State report­ed that “U.S. Army Med­ical Research Insti­tute of Infec­tious Dis­eases (USAMRIID) per­son­nel detailed to DIA have cor­rob­o­rat­ed very tech­ni­cal details of infor­ma­tion pro­vid­ed by the defector.”

Accord­ing to RedState’s sources, the defec­tor “pro­vid­ed data prov­ing that SARS-CoV­‑2 was man­made and leaked from the Wuhan Insti­tute of Virol­o­gy in addi­tion to evi­dence con­firm­ing that the People’s Lib­er­a­tion Army man­aged the Wuhan program.”

RedState’s Van Laar also report­ed that sources had con­firmed that Dong Jing­wei is indeed the defec­tor who has been pro­vid­ing infor­ma­tion to the DIA.

Van Laar also revealed that Dong has giv­en the DIA “copies of the con­tents of the hard dri­ve on Hunter Biden’s lap­top, show­ing the infor­ma­tion the Chi­nese gov­ern­ment has about Hunter’s pornog­ra­phy prob­lem and about his (and Joe’s) busi­ness deal­ings with Chi­nese entities.”

There were other hard drives in China - Miles Guo and Lu De (anti-communist activists) were releasing info from them leading up to the election - I don’t know why it wasn’t all dropped at once, but it was clear some of it was obtained through cameras either from Hunter’s laptop or set up in hotel rooms. The info didn’t just implicate The Biden’s but Obama’s dealings with the CCP regarding the South China Sea.

Thanks for this. The article was poorly written on this point. Hunter Biden was shedding lap tops and hard drives faster than a young snakes sheds its skin. How was this security risk not fairly discussed in before the election? (No need to answer that one. It's a rhetorical question!)
