Last few trips I took on the interstate, the 18 wheelers were totally abusive.
On a 14 hour round trip from Philadelphia to central Ohio and back, we saw about 25 or 30 cases where a tractor trailer chased small cars out of the passing lane - even though the small cars were trying to pass at a reasonable speed - like 20 over the speed limit.
They bore down on these cars as if they were TRYING to hit them.
Trucking has gone downhill since the time of Will and Sonny in the 70s.

BS. Almost all big rigs are monitored and governed.
Most people are crushing in the left / passing lane at 5-10 mph below the limit. It appears most drivers think the last is for cruise control driving. Pass and GTF over.
These S.O.B.'s ought to be prosecuted for manslaughter.

Truck drivers, like mailmen, have gone from the best of the best to the very worst in my lifetime.
My nephew said Somali and other muslim refugees have trucking businesses in Washington/Oregon area do not follow law or any safety rules.... including driving time. They cut holes in floor of cab to relieve themselves. Mechanics will not work on their rigs.
