Experimental? What does that really mean?

Dunno, but I can't recall seeing a quarry explosion bigger than about 1.5. This "experiment" was 3.9, over 100X larger than a quarry blasting a rock face.

I can't imagine the EPA or any government agency allowing the "experiment" to proceed. The fish kills alone must be off the chart!

Does anyone on the Atlantic coast of Florida own a Geiger counter?

Just curious, I don't suspect anything, nope, not me...

My bet would be an offshore oil rig explosion.

That is a lot of energy at 0km depth to have registered a 3.9 on the Richter scale picked up on sensors and thru the ground 100’s and even 1000’s of miles away.

I’ll bet the Russians and other Nuke states will be watching this as a potential violation of several test ban treaties. Tests of “Rod’s from God” kinetic energy weapons might have occurred. Then again a small meteor strike, already pre-discovered to be 100 percent certainty to hit the Earth, might be also a possibility but not discussed publicly as people nearest to the strike locations might have gone into panic(as the impact sites can’t always be predicted with certainty).

Just remember...Nukes were invented and first used by Democrats. We all know about Congressman Swalwell’s advocation of nukes against patriots who decide they won’t go with the leftist way. He being..Democrat,... by the way!

“Chevron removed non-essential staff from three U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil platforms and fully evacuated a fourth that is about 150 miles sought of Louisiana.”
