If you work very hard and show them your unwavering loyalty you may be permitted to join the global Outer Party. You will be allowed occasional servings of meat. And air conditioning on a rationed basis.
The rest of us will eat insects and swelter. For the good of the planet.

On a different note, I recall the words of a friend of mine, who, on reflecting about her experiences, after many years working as a Hospice nurse:
"No matter how big the house, how many degrees on the walls, or how many fancy cars in the driveway, they all go out the same way- in a t-shirt and a diaper."
(IOW "You can't take it with you.")
And then there's also the warning from the Bible that:
To whom much is given, much is expected.
So, I imagine, in the end, these unrepentant, wealthy individuals, who continue to harbor such hatred for their fellow human beings, are going to have a lot to answer for at their final judgement.
