We’ve had one solid conservative Republican speaker of the house in my lifetime (Newt), and, ala PJDT, he was harassed, run out of Dodge and deprived of his income (unlike the Clintons, Obama‘s et al, Newt had to forfeit the proceeds of his book deal, remember?)
