She sought a second term in November 2019 and lost by 14 votes to a Democrat. Henley challenged the outcome, saying she believed she had found voting irregularities. A committee in the Republican-controlled House held a hearing and denied Henley’s petition to overturn the election result.

Shot in cold blood. Message delivered.

answer from Wikipeida: In 2019, Henley lost her re-election bid to Hester Jackson-McCray, a member of the Democratic Party, by 14 votes. Henley brought suit in state court to overturn the election results.[6] Henley sought a do-over election, but the Mississippi House declined her request, seating Jackson-McCray

Audits coming? This suggests targeting. All Republican politician that lost their seat by a narrow margin needs to be exceptionally careful. We're living in a banana republic.

RIP

Post-election challenge

On December 4, 2019, incumbent Ashley Henley (R) filed an election challenge and asked the GOP-led Mississippi House of Representatives to overturn the District 40 election. In the petition, Henley said that the election showed many irregularities.

According to Mississippi Today, the specific grievances in the election challenge included: “A failure to collect voter signatures in one of the district's six precincts and a lack of an incident report detailing why the signatures weren't collected.

She also alleges discovering: two uncounted paper ballots in which Henley's name was marked; 11 names of voters who voted in a specific precinct while no records of their residency within that precinct could be found; voter signature receipts not stapled to the corresponding pages of the voter receipt book; and several ballots ‘unaccounted for/missing.’” Jackson McCray defeated Henley in the 2019 general election by 14 votes.[1]

A bipartisan House committee voted 5-0 on January 27, 2020, to seat McCray in the election.[2] On February 5, 2020, the state House voted on a voice vote to reject Henley's request to overturn the election.

Political Hit Job?

If I am reading this correctly, she filed a lawsuit on December 19 and her sister was killed after Christmas.

I wonder if they looked enough alike that the sister was killed in error. Or maybe was killed as a warning?

Suspicious is not a strong enough word.

Is the Dixie Mafia still active. Obviously, she ticked someone off. Evidently she was wacked. But why? Did she know anything on Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton?

Correct.

And Criminal ComDem’s feel they are above the law. (It appears for now they are)

And there is absolutely nothing a ComDem Candidate won’t do to get elected.
